All Star Fan Fest

For the first time since 1973, the Major League Baseball All Star Game is returning to my hometown of Kansas City, MO. To celebrate this great annual event, MLB has a giant convention called Fan Fest which celebrates all that is great about the national pasttime. My buddies and I went to the show last weekend and had a great time. There was so much cool stuff to do, we didn't know where to begin. There were a lot of great exhibits showcasing the Kansas City Royals' history and the history of the game itself. Since I love baseball uniforms, I took a lot of pictures of well known jerseys that have been worn through the years.
I've always loved baseball mascots and a good many of them showed up at the show. They even had their own version of the famous Home Run Derby. With a name like Homer, I thought that the Atlanta Braves' mascot would have a considerable advantage.
All the mascots there were wonderful to the fans and brought a ton of smiles to all the little kids there, including this 42 year old kid.
Overall, the convention was a huge success and everybody there had a wonderful time. Hopefully it won't be another 39 years until the All Star Game comes back to KC.
