Little Michael In His Prime

I've always dug the Jackson Five, much more than Michael Jackson's solo work. He seemed much more innocent as a little kid and the music grooved a lot more, probably due to the Motown house musicians that played on the songs. Be Astronaut Tough!

I love the cheesy old ads that used to be in the back of comics in the 60's and 70's. This one from 1967 is a prime example. I don't think any of the Mercury and Gemini astronauts were this ripped but it'd be fun to see one of these huge musclemen squeeze himself into one of those space capsules.

Easy Living At Blue Ridge Mall 1964

I was excited to find this old ad from the 5/20/64 Kansas City Star promoting the upcoming summer season. I loved this mall growing up. I used to spend a lot of time there either watching movies or hanging out at the music store or wasting my hard earned money at the arcade. The mall's original sign was replaced in the early 1980's and the mall itself was torn down a few years ago. Now there's a Wal-Mart there. Yuk! At least I have my memories and cool old ads.
