Lawrence Of Arabia Ticket 1963

My buddy Neato Coolville gave me this fantastic unused ticket from a screening of one of my all time favorite films from 1963. I assume the Crest Theatre was somewhere in England but I'm not sure. This was when Lawrence was being shown on a roadshow basis with reserved seating. It would have been fantastic to see it this way but I guess I can live vicariously through the ticket. Thanks again Neato!!

Japanese Star Wars Commercial 1978

From Youtube user ksoik comes this fantastic Japanese commercial from 1978 featuring our beloved Star Wars characters peddling sushi I believe. I love these knock offs that were fairly prevalent around the world at the time.

Johnny Olson A Voice In Time

I recently finished this great book about the legendary game show announcer Johnny Olson. Written by one of his proteges Randy West, it's a loving look at Johnny's 50 plus year career in the entertainment industry. While he's best known for his announcing work on The Price Is Right and Match Game, he was a star of early radio and television as well. I was surprised to find out all the stuff he did. It's a fantastic read and a must for any game show fan. Here's a link to pick up the book on Amazon. It's money well spent.
